RedundaTrunk™
option for SwitchTrunk customers, a real-time disaster avoidance
service enabling Asterisk-based IP PBX
systems to automatically switch over between SIP trunking and
back up Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) routing.
So long as callers can connect out,
RedundaTrunk can seamlessly re-route inbound calls through
alternative paths to reach another number whether that other
number were a DID via PRI or POTS line. Conversely, if your
POTS/PRI goes down, you could take comfort in knowing that
service would automatically switch over to the SIP trunks. Both
the caller and the user receiving the call would never know
there was a problem. Email notifications would automatically
alerts administrators and customers of the failover condition.
